Justin Vaughn
Client Liaison

Justin brings to Summit extensive experience in anesthesia and pain management issues. He provided consulting and auditing services for the three largest anesthesia groups in America, as well as for groups in 35 states. Justin is the author of Correct Coding of E&M Services, co-author of Top 200 Deficiencies in Anesthesia Practices, and has written numerous articles related to anesthesia and chronic pain issues. In addition, he has been a speaker at dozens of local and national healthcare seminars.

A native of Louisiana, Justin earned his B.A. degree in pre-law at Louisiana College. He subsequently attended divinity school in New Orleans, earning a masters degree (M.Div.), and completing one semester in the Ph.D. program. Justin also has several years of legal experience, having served as a paralegal for a healthcare law firm, among others. In addition, he is a Certified Professional Coder (CPC), having been certified by the American Academy of Professional Coders.

Having previously served as a compliance officer, privacy officer, auditor, and coding supervisor, Justin will help augment Summit's strong commitment to corporate compliance, coding accuracy and HIPAA standards by serving as a resource for these vital areas. He will also help coordinate Summit's ongoing efforts to expand its client base and services.
